WASTE MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES
END-OF-LIFE ELECTRIC MOTORS
Seipee is committed to environmental protection policies and continuously strives to make its products safer and less impactful on the environment.
The following instructions are recommendations for environmentally responsible disposal of machines.
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure local legislation is observed.
The motor must first be disassembled following the instructions in the technical manual.
Packaging materials can be fully sent for recycling as packaging waste:
EER 15.01.01 Paper and cardboard packaging,
EER 15.01.02 Plastic packaging,
EER 15.01.03 Wooden packaging.
The electric motor, once disassembled, may be handled as waste and classified as:
“EER 16.02.16 Components removed from end-of-life equipment, other than those mentioned in entry 160215,”
following a characterization analysis confirming non-hazardousness.
If substances such as oils, greases, detergents, solvents, or paint residues are present, they must be managed as waste according to proper classification and environmental regulations.
Materials composing the electric motor (e.g., wound stator: copper, steel, aluminum; rotor: steel and aluminum; flanges, shields, feet, and terminal covers: aluminum or cast iron; bearings and gears: steel; sealing rings and electronic waste), if disassembled and separated, must be managed as waste and classified according to environmental laws and regulations.
